Iron Man Regatta

The Ironman regatta is open to Optimists skippered by boys 8 to 15 years of age. 

There will be Optimist green; Optimist blue, white, and red fleets; Laser Radials and 4.7’s; Sunfish; and club 420s skippered and crewed by boys who have not reached their 19th birthday. Eligible boats may enter by completing registration at https://theclubspot.com/regatta/lFeN49hgC2

The required fee is $70 for single-handed boats and $110 for double- handed boats. There will be a $10 on site registration fee. The fee includes breakfast, lunch and tee shirt and a raffle ticket for various drawings to be conducted at the conclusion of the awards.

• 0800 to 0915 Check In
• 0915 Coaches’ Meeting
• 0930 Contestants’ Meeting
• First Warning Signal for All Classes as soon as possible after the completion of the 9:30 Contestants’ Meeting but no earlier than 10 AM, races to follow.
• Awards to follow racing

Five races are planned for each of the fleets. One race constitutes a regatta.

Green fleet will sail outside the clubhouse on Kettle Creek. Lasers/Sunfish/Club 420
will sail on the Green Island course. R/W/B Optimists will also sail on the Green Island
course or as otherwise decided by the Race Committee based on race day conditions.
